Abstract

Improving the quality of environmental monitoring in urban areas requires an efficient and reliable wireless sensor network (WSN) system. This study aims to optimize the range and durability of the WSN network by using a metaheuristic-based algorithm for sensor location selection and data path determination. Simulation results show an increase in efficiency of up to 30% in terms of power usage and data transmission reliability under various environmental conditions.
